Think back to your grade school days, when you had a "field day" in the gym or school grounds, and were invited to participate in various games and activities. Now pair that with the stimulating aesthetics of a circus or carnival. The Circus is aiming to invoke these nostalgic feelings and bring them alive in a more adult setting, in your own back yard: The city of Chicago.
Inside the Circus will be a spectacle with all sorts of entertainment! Live bands and DJs playing throughout the night, trained professional circus performers, concessions, live art, and (here's what sets the Circus apart from other Chicago events) community workshops where you can learn easy and interesting projects from other community members!
Imagine if you will, just after getting your face painted, you're learning how to screen print a tee shirt or poster, with clowns and aerial silk dancers and jesters cavort gleefully around the room, all while pounding beats and roaring guitar riffs vibrate through the floors as one of Chicago's thrilling rock bands thunders from the room below!
